A DISASTER IS COMING

Hi everyone!

Last week, we had an intensive Citizenship and Globalitation lessons. However, each lesson was different than the others lesson about it.

On Monday, we were speaking about freedom and citizenship around the world, Henrik gave us the Obama’s speech, ¿Is it something insignificant for Europe? This is the main question. It is true that Obama is USA´s President, and he can’t decide anything about Europe, but like citizen we have to be informed about it.

We read his speech and then for groups we said our point of view about it, because everyone knows politic people are always promising but at the end everything change. The most important questions of the discussion were: Is it true or false? Is he speaking about America or about all worlds?

In my point of view, I think that this lesson was interesting because I am the typical person who is not interested about this kind of speech, and sometimes we need to read them, because there are interesting questions which make you think about the world, and consider things that you had wrong in your mind.

We also made presentations about Citizenship in our countries, and how can we teach it in a future. I explained how this subject is taught in Spain, and all Spanish system, like I made before in other Globalization lesson. Here you can enjoy of it here.




The last lesson, as well important like others, we watched some music videos about the citizenship around the world. Henrik showed us “EARTH SONG Video” from Michel Jackson, this song speaks about the world, about the nature and the result of our comfortable life.



Also the song “WHERE IS THE LOVE?” from Black eyed peas, like the other song, it explains that the world is changing and the people is changing with it, the fault is from the people who don’t love the world, and it makes that the change will be worst.



These videos make me think about the world, and in that moment I remember a video about this kind of change. This video shows the result of the world in the future. It is so sad and realistic, but we have the fault of all this disaster. (If you check youtube, you can find this video in a lot of languages).



Henrik said us that we had to prepare a video about Democracy.

Finally, In Christina’s house, our splendid Danish teacher, we had a meeting, and we had our last lunch together, then one of us said that we had to prepare this video. Any of us remember it, but soon we decide make a video, and the result was a really democratic and funny work.



PS: This subject taught me that I have to learn about the others, pay attention to the world and control quotidian things, like turn off the lights, don’t use too much water… ¿And you? ¿Will you leave that the world will be a disaster? We have the solution, try to do something.
