ONE DAY AROUND CHILDREN

Hi, every one,

Last Wednesday Anja, Cannan and me, two of my flatmeets, wake up really early, at 6 of the morning, and we going through the dark sky to the school where we will do our Danish practice before Easter Holiday.

We were very tired, and we didn’t know the right way, but finally we arrive to a street where there were a old and big building, that was the college where we were looking for.

When we where at the gate of the school, Vaclav and Misa (other Erasmus students), they were waiting us. Then we decide to going inside, and a teacher show us all school and the different classes, I was surprised when she show the kitchen class, because we haven’t it at class.

She and the other teachers were really kind with us; they invited us to a cup of coffee and spoke with us like friends. Usually in Spain, practical students can’t go to the teacher’s room, because they are in their free time.

At the time of class, we went with our teacher to the class, some children where playing at the schoolyard, and other were playing in class or playing eith computers. This is another thing different than Spain, because in my country, children are waiting to their teacher in a line.

Unfortunately, children don’t speak English, and we can’t spoke with them, but the teacher said us the following words in Danish: “Jeg Hedder Carlos, og Jeg kommer fra Spanien” After our presentations we show to children where is our country in a map.

The teacher show to children what was the plan for this day, then we went to another classroom, “Art”, they began to paint a figures of clay, that we done the week before, then they draw different pictures in a paper.

This class was really funny, because I tried to speak with two kids and we were speaking with our hands because I don’t understand Danish and they don’t know English. But finally I made two friends, and they gave me two pictures, with their name and the age.

Then we did a break, and they can play at class, and can see some movie or play with computers.

After Break, We start Danish lesson, the teacher explain the letter, “H” and draw different examples on the blackboard, children learn in and said to her more examples, and finally they did a page of homework relationated with this letter.

At the end of the day, Children start to play with different materials, like cubes, they were playing to math games. Then we went back to home, but at the door they said to us with their hand and with an English word, “bye, bye”.

This experience was really funny and interenting, because we can enjoy one day of children and at the same time learn the differences between our countries´ schools and Denmark’s schools.
